About Aesthetical

This space is not meant as a place of conclusion or assertion, but rather an open-minded exploration of the ways aesthetics are built and how they, in turn, shape us. Because aesthetics isn’t tied to a singular path of beauty, we can be open to investigating the is and isn’t of aesthetics and the role they play in telling us who we are and where in the world we stand. In some cases, we will attempt to revel in things otherwise considered ugly (Bling, waste excess) and explore the aesthetics of the things that scare us (death, end times frailty.) This site is designed as a platform to explore the many worlds we are a part of and examine the aesthetic building blocks that enable us to understand them.
I have spent most of my life reflecting on the role of aesthetics in the understanding of who we are. I’ve studied art history, architecture, and religion. Worked in the art world and led a global design company. I am in no way an expert on aesthetics, but I know a lot of people who are.
